SPICA (스피카) is a 5-member girl group under the label B2M Entertainment.

The meaning behind the group’s name ‘Spica’, which is the name of the brightest star in the Virgo constellation, comes from the idea that they will become the brightest star in the music industry.

The group released the digital single ‘독하게’ (Doggedly) on 10th January before their formal debut. Their label-mate, Lee Hyori made an appearance in the MV which gathered interest.

The group made formal debut on Mnet M!Countdown with their title song ‘Russian Roulette’ from their first mini-album ‘Russian Roulette’ on 9th February. However, the original lyrics of the song could not meet MBC’s broadcasting standards, therefore parts of the lyrics are modified later.

The group made their comeback with the repackaged mini-album ‘Painkiller’ on 29th March.
